Show and Tell December 2023

Our December meeting also took in our Christmas lunch. What a spread! We had a great turn out for our last meeting of 2023 with some members dressing in fun festive attire.

Some very creative and beautiful Kris Kringle gifts were shared for those who took part in the gift giving.

Through the busy month of December, it seems there is still time to finish off some quilts. Well done to those of you who found the time. Pass on your secret!!

Sue Medlow with the first of a few charity quilts finished off this month. This is a great quilt for a male using up scraps of checks and plaids. A really simple quilt, just rectangles and squares, but visually quite striking.

Another quilt suited for a male by Sue. Those plaids and checks just keep coming.

Sue again with yet another quilt made using fabrics left over from her daughters scrunchie making stash. Great use of the border fabric in the cornerstones too.

Sue showing the backing of one of her quilts. So vibrant.

Chris Adley with a really pretty floral on point piece.

Reni showing a cute and colourful bumble bee costume she is repairing for her granddaughter. This costume was made over 40 years ago for her daughter. This is why we keep things. You never know when they will come in handy!!

Too cute!

Chris with a half square triangle quilt. Another very simple pattern with quite interesting visual impact.

A tiny teddy quilt in soothing pink grey and white

Love that pieced border in pinks.
