Our Biggest Morning Tea

Today we had our biggest morning tea at Woodpatch Quilters, and raised some money for Cancer.  It was a fun day, and the theme was Silver and Furs. There was a lot of silver, and not a lot of fur!

Lots of silverware to choose from....
And lots of food on display also...
 Our motley crew!
Joy was the winner of the best Silver on the table.

May General Meeting

Before we had our general meeting, we had a visit from Lyn Buttfield, who is operating a mobile quilting store called Quilters Quarters.  She had a lovely selection of fabrics and notions, and we ladies had a wonderful time buying up big. Lyn is happy to come back and visit us later in the year.

After lunch and the meeting, we had show and tell.  Here are some of the quilts that were shown.

Caring Hearts Quilt recipient

Here is a photo of Merlyn and her friend Don, with the Caring Heart Quilt that was made for his wife Dawn. She battled cancer for four years before she passed away in January.

She wanted Don to personally call in to WoodPatch and thank the ladies for her beautiful quilt.  She used to visit Merlyn at the hall in Woodside, and was known to several of the quilting ladies there.
