Show and Tell 15th November 2023
October and November have been very productive months for some members. A great mix of pieced quilts, art quilts and other sewn crafts.
Linda's placemats for Meals on Wheels
One of Linda's placemats, Merlyns bird and Joan's maroon placemat
Els and her cats. She had made the individual stitchings and charms and put them together to make a neat little wall hanging.
Gaile's had a lot to show this month! A crotchet blanket made by her daughter. The detail in this very heavy blanket is just amazing. Quite possibly every crochet stitch ever invented was used in this beautiful work
Gaile's art quilt with lots of thread embellishing and free motion work.
What a stunning scene. Very moody as the sea can be
This large quilt is for Gaile's grandson who turns 21. Very clever use of fabrics
The denim caravan quilt. A reversible quilt made for her caravan, using old flannel tshirts and jeans. This quilt weighs quite a bit!
Jan Porters "liquorice allsorts" blanket. So colourful and cheery
Francines lovely emboidered garden wall hanging. A few years in the making!
Just love Francine's cheeky smile. It outshines the quilt as lovely as it is!
Kerry's sweet blue hearts quilt. Loving the way the heart shapes are echoed in the quilting in the 4 patch blocks
Merlyn's "Barbie" quilt. So named because of the bright pink. A charity quilt
Merlyns sweet bird
Another charity quilt by Merlyn featuring elephants and bright bold colours
