Show and Tell for June.
Firstly, an acknowledgement of the passing of one or our members Ann Riddle. Ann was a quiet achiever who produced some beautiful work including a huge whole cloth which she shared with us back in April. Vale Ann.
Another wonderful and diverse bunch of quilts and fabric creations was shown at this months show and tell.
Please note that the photos will be in reverse order to how the quilts were presented, it's just the way it uploaded!!

Made by Helen for her sister who loaned her a light screen in a very flimsy bag.A3 size carry bag for a LED light screen. Made using upholstery scraps. Oh, and a matching small bag for the cable and transformer as well with the left over left overs!
Many photos to follow of beautiful vintage pieces bought in by Barb. What a treat to see so many old pieces in such good condition. This one crocheted by her Great Grandmother.

Sue Royal's Crewel work wall hanging. Apparently this lovely lady was meant to have a more sultry appearance but Sue just couldn't quite get it the way she wanted. Looks pretty good to the rest of us!
Ronda Jaensch and her ties quilt for her son in law.... made from his ties. Bet he was wondering where they all went! Great quilting too.
Gaille's fussy cut octagon quilt in blues. Hand pieced. quilted by Tricia.

Chris Adleys zig zag made using pastels given to her. Although the colours aren't really to her taste, it is still a lovely quilt.

Another one of Gaille's works of art. This is "just" the backing! Flour bags put to good use. You will also notice the quilting detail

It's big. And stunning.
Chris Butler's truly stunning hand applique quilt. With bling. The photo does not pick up how shiny and blingy this quilt is. This is an absolute credit to you Chris.

Annette and her cuddly friends. Made using the same pattern but in different colours and fabrics for a completely different look.
Another detailed piece by Ming. This is the back of the Amish quilt she has just finished. Look at all that precise hand quilting.
Such simple piecing but with all that quilting it is really a thing of beauty.
Sue Medlow's child's quilt. A simple pattern using vibrant fabrics.
Another scrappy type strip quilt by Sue. Great balance in the layout of the pieces. Simple and beautiful.
