December 2025.... And that's a wrap!

Welcome to our last blog for 2025.
Most members attended a very pleasant Christmas lunch at our home base at Inverbrackie including a Kris Kringle gift swap.

It seems like most people were busy prepping for Christmas as we did not have any show and tell. However, member Rosanne in Queensland has been busy and sent us some photos of her latest works.

We have a few photos of our Christmas lunch, including a mischievous little elf!
Also a photo of the food goods that members provided to be taken to The Hut Community Centre at Aldgate for families doing it tough.

So, as 2025 draws to a close we reflect back at the incredible amount of quilts and other fabric crafts that members have made. We have very productive and clever members amongst us!
We held an amazingly successful Exhibition and celebrated 40 years of the formation of the group.

Over 2025 many members had health issues, partners with health issues, family life issues... or all of the above and as usual, this group of women have been a lifeline and place of safe and understanding support. For that we are all grateful.

We have made significant donations either in the form of quilts, food, clothing or cash to various organisations supporting people in the most difficult periods of their lives and for that we are proud. We've said it before, but Quilters really are a generous bunch.

As we enter 2026, we still remain unsure of our long term tenancy at the Inverbrackie Army Barracks as it closes down as an army base, but have identified a couple of reasonably suitable locations should we need to move home.
We also have our AGM coming up early in the year, so look forward to welcoming a new committee to lead the group.

I'm sure we all can't wait to learn new sewing skills and tackle fun and challenging projects along the way in 2026.

Enjoy this holiday season and we look forward to seeing members back in January.
