Show and Tell May 2025 and Biggest Morning Tea

May saw our monthly meeting and our annual Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser for the Cancer Council.
Once again, we were joined by some lovely ladies from the Piccadilly Quilters.
We were fortunate to also have a two times cancer survivor Jan talk about her experience and Toni representing Hutt Street Centre. We had a group of "purple" ladies from Barossa Area Fundraisers For  Cancer Care.
As always, we shared a beautiful morning tea and raised funds for such a worthy cause.

An almost packed house of members and visitors. A few items left on the trading table too.

President Sue with our guest speaker Jan. A really interesting story of resilience and hope.

Our semi regular BAFFC guests with Sue

These quilts were donated to BAFFC for cancer patients.

In return for our support, we were gifted these wines that are produced especially for BAFFC.

Tricia's bright and breezy charity quilt. Hidden Wells pattern??

Cute giraffe backing.

Sue is really working through her stash with this lovely panel quilt of pansies

And of course a pieced backing. Note the lovely swirly quilting.

Francene's pretty embroidered ticking cloth and doily bag.

Helen's bright rainbow coloured quilt made for a friend from our local parkrun group who was in hospital receiving treatment for cancer. Whilst there, the parkrun celebrated it's 300th event with a rainbow colour theme. Seeings as he missed it, we bought the colours to him. He and his wife were thrilled to have been given this uplifting gift.

Quilted quite simply in the name of expediency!
