Show & Tell 15 February 2023 and Big Garage Sale

Julie's flannel Lattice Quilt

Julie was given this quilt kit some time ago by Rosanne who had also been given the kit. Roseanne had started it but didn't want to finish it.
It's a beautiful big warm snuggly quilt being made from flannel.

Ming's Walking bag

Another amazing piece designed by Ming. She was wanting a suitable bag for her weekly walking group, so of course she just had to make one! It has zipped pockets on the outside for phone, purse and keys and inside even has a pouch to hold her water bottle. It has a really sturdy adjustable strap too. Very clever Ming!

Sue's large Birthday Card!

Sue had incredible vision to translate a line drawing from a book of Medieval Alphabet drawings into an impeccably hand stitched piece. This was made for her friend Bill's 90th birthday (hence the letter B!) and Sue joked that he could use it as a Birthday Card if he wished. Congratulations on such a stunning piece Sue.

Such incredible detail stitched into this piece.

B is for Bill!

The book Sue got her pattern from. By the look of the price tag, the book itself is also Medieval!

Chris' Sashiko bag

Must have been the week for bags. Chris made this gorgeous bag with Sashiko stitching detail. We certainly have some clever hand stitchers in this group!

Chris' perfect stitch detail.

3 Charity quilts

These 3 quilt tops were put together by Nina and donated to the group via Chris to be used as Charity Quilts. Tricia completed the quilting and Chris finished them off. Another team effort. Well done ladies.

Sonia's Kaleidoscope quilt

Wow. Just wow! Sonia finished this quilt a few years ago, one of many she has made over the years. It is made up of 6 repeat blocks and has a huge visual impact.

There's a lot of fussy cutting gone on here!

The back cleverly using a panel of the fabric used to construct the front. You have amazing vision and patience Sonia.

The big Garage Sale!

So many items. Everything from Tonka trucks to fabric by the metre. Lots of bargains were had and lots of space cleared out in some ladies sewing rooms!
