Show and Tell 19 January 2025

Our second meeting of the year saw a small group of finished quilts and other projects bought along for sharing.

A very diverse range of quilts and quilting this month. Note that the photos are posted here in a different order than they were shown on the day.

Faiths very geometric looking blue and orange quilt finished off on one of the recent awfully hot days.

The pieced backing

Faith very cleverly used the decorative serpentine stitch to create a bit of movement in the quilting

Barb's pieced and appliqued vase quilt. Love the maroon border framing the central block

Kerry's hand sewn hexagon quilt. She backed it with fleece and this gives the whole quilt a really soft look and feel

Mairi's stricking kaleidoskope quilt

Quilting detail from the front

Stunning quilting detail from the back

Gaile's Life in Space quilt. Clever cutting and piecing makes this really pop

And of course the back is just as vibrant!

Chris Butler's very pretty circles bag. All hand stitched. What a beautiful effect

Plenty of room for those ongoing projects.

Merlyn's very cute bunny baby quilt

Merlyn also finished off a bucket style bag. Lovely calming blues.

Sandy is certainly wading through her scraps and I bet these very different quilts haven't even made a dent!!

We have all made quilts that we just haven't loved. This one is one of Sandy's but it is still a great looking quilt.
