Show and Tell August 2025

The winter months tend to see members hibernate or travel to the warmth, so our August showing is small but as usual, diverse and amazing. Enjoy.

Francine's beautiful Sashiko panel

It is hard to pick up in this photo, but the purple, red and green circles are all done with beads. Very clever.

Trish with her cute gecko quilt. Proof that great looking quilts do not have to be all about symmetry.

Merlyn's vibrant childs quilt

Great use of strips.

Barbs bright robot quilt for her daughter in law. That's a whole lot of 1 inch squares in that border.

Merlyn's star quilt in pinks and purples. There's a lot of points in this.

Barb's heart centre lap quilt. Notice the hearts in the quilting on the borders.

Trish's clam quilt which has been quite a while in the making. No surprise there! Great showcase of fabrics.

This beautiful antique quilt was shown by Kerry early in August. It is hand pieced and hand quilted, with no batting. It was given to a friend of hers having been made by her grandmother. A beautiful traditional piece of quilting history.

Finishing up with a couple of scrappy bags mad by Merlyn.
