Welcome to Autumn!
Seems like the transition from the long dry heat has seen quilters tackling other pursuits as this month we had just a few finished items to show.
We are guessing members are busy working away at quilts for the exhibition in September, so nothing new in the short term to show. Carry on ladies!!!
As always though, very different quilts, charity quilts and a bag. There is always a bag!!
Faith with her scrappy 2.5 inch quilt. Over 1000 pieces in this charity quilt!! Is it just me or is there a bit of a red zig zag pattern coming down the quilt?
Very simple cross hatch quilting that works really well on such a busy quilt.
Glenda with her beautiful hand applique and embroidered cushion cover. It is a kit from Hugs and Kisses.
Such pretty muted tones and a great background fabric.
Merlyn with a photo memory quilt for her cousin. They have a lifelong friendship and Merlyn has selected many photos of happy days together. What a thoughtful gift.
Merlyn did note we should look at their hairstyles through the ages.
Merlyns simple scrappy as part of her sewing room clean up. Think we could all make plenty of these!
Sandy with this months bag. There is always at least one bag to show! Great use of vibrant batik strips.
