ANZAC POPPIES
After the meeting, we had the usual Show and Tell. I also took a photo of the lovely ladies that helped me knit 125 Anzac poppies for my brother's RSL in Upwey, Melbourne. As we had a quick trip over for his 70th birthday last weekend, I took the opportunity to take them over with me. He was gobsmacked, and most appreciative.
I was a little worried at one point, as he could not find them on the Monday, after imbibing a little too much merriment on Sunday. But after a frantic search before rubbish day, they were found stored safely in the RSL's Museum. Phew!!
So a big thank you to the following ladies, Fiona, Ronda, Sonia, Alvis and Jan, and little old me!
